In recent reports by Dragon Rouge – an international branding agency – which identifies socio-cultural trends, and marks packaging styles in cooperation with sociologists, designers and theoreticians, published a trend guide for packaging design, in which nine important categories have been distinguished:
– ECO, RETRO, MODERNITY, REBELLION AGAINST RULES, FUTURISM, FOLK, MINIMALISM, INDIVIDUALISM, PREMIUM.
Keeping track of the trends in PET packaging design trends, and thanks to many years of cooperation with MASPEX, PETBOTTLE started a project under the TIGER brand.
Few companies can so boldly approach Brief and give designers the freedom achieve the goals set for their company.
Therefore, we would like to thank the TIGER brand for their trust in the know-how and expertise of PETBOTTLE, which completed the project comprehensively, by designing both the bottle and the blow molds for its manufacture.
CASE STUDY:
The aim of the project was to revive the segment of large bottles in the energy drinks category by creating the most attractive packaging on the shelf.
The target group are mainly young, active men, who follow trends and technology, not afraid of new challenges, which is why the project relies heavily on functionality and modern, unique design referring to advanced technologies and the transformation that an energy drink gives.
While working on this project task, we were looking for inspiration in the world of our consumers’ aspirations: space ships, sports cars, movie super heroe costumes, modern sports clothing.
Different than all others on the market, the futuristic shape of the TIGER bottle is designed to attract the consumer and emphasize their individuality, just like a modern gadget.
With several months of work, we have made an unprecedented product that combines such trends as FUTURISM, INDIVIDUALISM, MODERNITY, REBELLION AGAINST RULES and PREMIUM, or design styles that fully distinguish the nature of this innovative brand.
The project took part in the last edition of ART OF PACKAGING 2017, where it found itself among the most interesting design projects in Poland, and from May 2018 it is available in stores all over Poland, creating a new aspect of design, where it attracts the attention of consumers with its original shape.
HOW TO MAKE A PRODUCT STAND OUT?
There are several specific ways to highlight products and remain unique and memorable on the market.
An original label, characteristic packaging shape, laser texturing, etc. to name just a few.
In the plastics processing industry, it does not matter if the product is a bottle for a drink, a jar, household chemicals, cosmetics or pharmaceuticals. To increase the value and attractiveness of a manufactured product, we must use innovative technologies and opportunities offered by the tool industry, and use the help of specialists who perform their tasks comprehensively, which will save the company time and money.
We must remember that almost 80% of decisions are made in the store, and our products have about 1-3 seconds to attract potential consumers, convince them of their quality and ensure purchase, making them come back for more.
It would be good to use this knowledge to become a successful and well-remembered beverage manufacturer in Poland and worldwide.
